Course Description
Ultrasonic testing level II course provides the knowledge required to understand the method, operate the ultrasonic flaw detector and perform weld scanning. The course structure is compiled based on ASNT-SNT-1A

- UT theory and its applications
- Advantages and limitations of UT
- Codes / Standards requirements as per ASTM / ASME, AWS & BS etc.
- Familiarization of the equipment and probes
- Calibration of the equipment and probe using various reference blocks
- Scanning on different type of weld specimen
- Interpreting and evaluating the test data
- Preparation of the reports
Course Duration
12 Days of training (120 hours) and 2 days examination
Who Should Attend
Technicians, Inspectors, QA / QC Engineers etc. aspiring to acquire the proficiency and knowledge in UT.
Certification – (ASNT ) Level II certificate will be issued by Modfield upon successful completion of examination based on employer’s written practice.
Course Equipment and Materials – We provide training material, equipment & probes, calibration blocks and sample specimens for practical training.
